FC Barcelona Coaching History: From Jack Alderson to Xavi Hernández

Jack Alderson

The first manager of FC Barcelona was Jack Alderson, who was appointed in 1912. Alderson was a Scottish player who had played for several clubs in England and Scotland before coming to Barcelona. He led Barcelona to their first Copa del Rey title in 1913 and their first Catalan Championship in 1914. He left Barcelona in 1917 to return to England.
