Verstappen Wins Hungarian GP from P10

Verstappen Recovers from Back of Grid to Take Victory

Mercedes Secure Double Podium with Hamilton and Russell

Budapest, Hungary - Max Verstappen has won the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix, starting from P10 and leading a Red Bull 1-2 with Sergio Perez finishing second. Verstappen's victory was the result of a masterful drive, demonstrating his speed and car control on a track known for being difficult to overtake.

The race was exciting from start to finish, with Verstappen battling his way up the field after a poor start. He passed several cars on the opening lap and continued to make progress throughout the first stint. Verstappen benefited from a series of safety car periods that allowed him to close up to the leaders. He then took the lead with a bold move on the restart following the second safety car period.

Verstappen was able to control the race from that point on, with his pace too strong for his rivals. He crossed the line ahead of Perez, with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes completing the podium. The result was a great boost for Red Bull and Verstappen in the drivers' championship standings, as they extended their lead over Ferrari.
